The Crowd in the rain part of my crowd collection, a crowd of people going about their business and what a crafty lot they look all wanting to know each other’s business.

I wanted a crowd of different diverse people with a bit of mystery about them, I wanted each person to have a story to tell but you would have to speculate on that story, because they are keeping it to themselves.

We have Mr Shady, Mr shifty, Ms Clever, Miss Foxy Mr Brains, Mr Sly, Mr Dry,

I love painting people, but I don’t want to just paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them I want them to be special.

I also wanted an art deco sort of surrealism feel to it for you to see something different every time you look at it, I wanted it to hold your imagination.
